Working for UDGI as an owner managed company is so much more rewarding and FUN vs. a fee management company. An owner managed company allows each team member the opportunity to maximize their abilities and grow beyond their expectations to become stronger and confident leaders. Working in unison with the owner allows the site team the ability to tailor team goals and expectations to reflect the vision and values the owner has set for the company and its leaders. Furthermore, it is very gratifying for the site team to provide the owner with direct feedback that will help protect or enhance the primary investment. In my experience having worked for fee management companies they do not always provide sufficient support and resources needed for employees to excel as opposed to an owner managed company that assesses individuals and skills accordingly and provides the utmost support. Also, a fee management company involves too many corporate personnel and exhibits a strong sense of micromanagement on the site staff. Not only does that make it harder for an employee to perform at his/her best, but it makes it difficult for the individual to seek greater opportunities.

My absolute favorite part of working with UDGI is the fact that it is an owner managed company compared to a fee management company. I worked with a fee management company before and it was a poor experience. They made the day to day tasks extremely difficult and confusing since they wanted nothing to do with simplifying tasks. The employee's need, resident's needs and/or the properties needs where always put last. Their motives were strictly money driven. Working for UDGI has really changed my opinion on Property Management. UDGI is team of leaders who get tasks done promptly and professionally. They utilize modern technology making the normal day to day duties easy and simple. Of course they stick to their budget, but they put employee's needs, resident's needs and/or properties needs first. Resident retention is a major part of our customer service. This in turn benefits each property in more ways than one. Between modernizing procedures to elite resident relations UDGI shines above any fee management company.

United Development Group is an elite group of individuals who have served their time working for a fee management company learning only the very basics of Property Management. UDGI employees are given the opportunity to not only work towards a goal that really matters but they actually understand what that goal is. We feel as if we are a part of a team who is excited to come to work every day because we have the support and tools we need to get our jobs done quickly and effectively. What I like most about working with UDGI is that we are supplied with the right tools for the job and if we don't have it we get it. We are all one team and everyone is ready and willing to help one another at any time. We work directly with the owner and its easy to get things done they way we want them. All of our ideas matter and are listened to and if its beneficial to our company we implement them. Working here has given me the opportunity to grow and is encouraged by my co-workers. It feels good to know who I am working with and to be on a first name basis with everyone.
