Giving Back

I am very fortunate to be the managing member of a charitable family limited partnership.  As many of you know (especially those of you that have been around for sometime), our roots have always been in participating to make a difference.  Personally, as I gain clarity through the years, I am able to see that my purpose in life is to serve humanity.  I see us continuing to grow and expanding our wings into new endeavors to make the world we live in a better place.

For several years, through the charitable family trust, we’ve been donating substantial amounts of money to worthy causes for several years now.  We have participated helping to build permanent facilities that will continue to feed, educate, house, nurture, and provide medical services to the less fortunate.  For our organization, these charitable contributions are a priority.

Here are some of the organizations that we’ve been fortunate to be associated with:

Frances Kitchen Project
Orphanage in Mexico
Nativity Prep Academy
Seaside Spiritual Center
Rady’s Children’s Hospital
Barrio Station
Sharp Hospital
Pacific Ridge School

If you have any suggestions of any worthy causes that need help, let us know.  Please address all materials to:

c/o United Development Group, Inc.
9252 Chesapeake Drive, Suite 100
San Diego, CA 92123

Please note that our financial commitments to the different charities are substantial and our budget is limited; however, we will review each request and will do our best to respond in a timely manner.

It’s very important to remember that we can all serve humanity without writing checks.  Big Brother/Big Sister, homeless shelters, food drives, breast cancer walks, tutoring programs are just a handful of ways that all of us can participate to make a difference.

United Development Group, Inc. recognizes the importance of community participation and supports it by granting one (1) paid day off per quarter for every Team member’s participation in qualified charitable or community activities.  Please refer to section 5.8 Corporate Volunteering Program in the Employee Manual for full details.

Here is a quote from Mother Teresa to inspire us all:
“I see God in every human being. When I wash the leper's wounds, I feel I am nursing the Lord himself. Is it not a beautiful experience?”
